I am thinking about adjusting the prop on my 09 185 tourney but would like to have some input if anyone else has a similar setup. My boat is an 09 Tournament pro 185cs and I have a Yamaha F150 and 9.9 kicker.

Before thinking about changing the prop what are the peak RPMs you are getting now?
Then, what are your end goals? More top end, less cavitation, better holeshot? Each one of these will likely cause one of the other to become worse.
I have a Tournament Sport with a 150 Suzuki. My setup wouldn’t be comparable since the motor is different, but what my goals were was to have a better holeshot and not so worried about top end.
I tried two different props, one had my boat going almost 50MPH, while the other was around 45MPH. The holeshot and trolling speed was much better with the smaller pitched prop so I went with that.

I believe the RPM Range for your motor has a peak of 6000RPM, but I think peak HP is at 5500RPM so I would try and prop your boat to go no higher than that.

I get around 53-5400 rpms. I get out of the hole and on plane fast i would just like a little more top end for superior or the river as I usually make pretty long runs. With 2-3 people and gear I currently go 42-43 on the top end.

Which hole location is your motor in? You could possibly make a change there and get the desired result without changing the prop.
Something that would be a good idea too is talk to the folks at Soderbloms. I think they are in Cloquet. Tell them the make and model of your boat, motor, etc and tell them what you want to see. They could probably guide you as to a better prop choice.

I have your exact same set-up and get 45 mph to 46 mph on the GPS at 5800 rpm. My motor is mounted in the third hole down and my prop is a SS 19p Power Tech. Going to the PT prop gave me more bow lift and solved the porpoising issues I was having.

Give Ricky a call at Brainerd Props he can help you with your set-up.

Thank you. I will give both places a call and check the hole location on my motor.

Thank you again for the help!
