Has anyone used a Mercury Tempest and Yamaha Reliance on the same boat?

I did on my Ranger/150 Yamaha set up and also my
first Skeeter. There was no gain what so ever, and while not a bad prop, the reliance clearly was a better fit for both of my set-ups.

I have a modified Tempest as a back-up to my M-series. I have not ran a Reliance on my boat, so I don’t know the exact differences.

There are modest differences between a Tempest and a Tempest Plus. Regardless, Yamaha and Mercury are both known for having a great hubs and good Stainless steel if you consider having someone like DAH build you a prop.

Them 2 props in my opinion are completely different. You could get either prop in the appropriate pitch and they would work. What are you running for a boat/motor and prop now? What you looking to gain?
