So when I bought my pro sport a few years back it came with a Bimini top (Taylor made according to the tags). The owner did not have the side curtains, it either never had any or the state kept them when he bought it from them (was a dnr boat). So after looking around at pictures and other boat that had them I enlisted the help of my mom to make a set for it. The attached picture isn’t of the best quality, it makes the color look way different than the original also, but in reality it’s actually really a close match. Short of some velcro in the upper back to help hold that corner up this side is ready to go. The other side will have to wait till I can pull the boat out as there isn’t enough room to work as it sits in the garage now. I wish I’d have started this sooner so I could have had them up at Kab. this spring, would have come in handy on one afternoon in particular when mother nature was bent on getting me soaked.

In total I think I maybe spent 70 bucks on the materials (and I bought enough that we could screw up the first time and still have enough to make a new set with material to spare). I can’t take any credit on the sewing work though, my mom did it all on am old singer heavy duty sewing machine they have.

A professionally made one may have looked a little cleaner but I didn’t think we did too bad given it was our first attempt and made using a template I scribbled onto a piece of cardboard held in place.

That will do exactly what you want it to do. Keep you warm and dry. You can take a piece of 4″ PVC tubing and roll them up to store them. If you have a center rod locker they might fit in there.

Tell mom she did a great job! waytogo

    Very nice.

I have the full set from the factory… mine just came with the top, but I got lucky and found an ad here on ido for a set of sides and a back that someone had new, and had sold the boat years earlier…

Yours look very good, and the sides are really nice at times when driving in a side wind rain, or out all day in a soaker while trolling or cold out. I used mine on erie half my trip. I have the back, and use it to sleep in a couple times a year. Wish I had access to sewing skills, I’d find a way adding a screen portion to the top of the windows for ventilation – when sleeping in the boat. Becomes a sweat box in the summer all closed up to keep the bugs out.
