Has anyone filed a claim with progressive and could you please let know youre experience. Put 2 holes in my alumacraft dominator hull one you can put 4 fingers in and the other 2 fingers in and they want to have it welded. Alumacraft said they can weld it it went through 2 plates of the 2xb hull but it will never look the same and they only give a 1 yr warranty on the repair

I forgot to post that I have exact replacement insurance If the boat is over 5 yrs old they pay what I paid for the hull in 2009.

Had a windshield replaced by them.. only cause it was much more than I expected. Not a problem at all, but sound like you have a different concern. Not sure you expect to be done, or what can be done. Mine was replace… you probably only have the option to repair? Just cause what it is.

Its been about 8 yrs since I had a claim with Progressive. Hit a rock on Lake of the Woods and toasted my lower unit on the 2nd day of a week long trip on Morson Ontario. My motor was a 96 115 hp Johnson. They wanted me to find a rebuilt lower unit. My only option timing wise was a new one in Nestors Falls. I had to complain a little bit, but they covered the new lower unit in Ontario. No complaints from me on Progressive.

Don’t know how they are on boat coverage, but I used to own a windshield repair business and they were the worst company to deal with and the amounts they would pay out to us for claims repairs were the lowest of all the insurance companies. We didn’t like to even do any of their claims because of how cheap they are.

Had a claim with Progressive last summer. Wiped out lower unit on my kicker. Won’t give ya the details on how it happened but was not one of my brightest moments. Anyway SBC & myself figured motor was totaled. Prog. adjuster figured all the parts and it was within $350 of new motor and wanted to fix it. They ended up replacing it because some of the parts could not be found in a timely manner. Killed a whole afternoon instead of an hour but they came through and paid whole bill minus deductible. They did respond and get the ball rolling on the claim asap for me.
