Just bought this unit last week, third time using it this morning. It powers up just fine but if I go to adjust the sensitivity or any other functioins the screen goes super dim and you can hardly see anything on the screen. It’s still running but I had to cup my hands around the screen to see it. Shut it off, fired up just fine tried to make an adjustment did the same thing.

First time ever owning a Marcum am I doing something wrong?

Is the backlight turned way down?

To turn it up Hit Menu-Display Settings-Backlight

I did pull the film off right away when I got it, Im siting at home trying to get it to do it again, and I just turn the black light up, “Thanks Ben” but should all the settings reset to 0 once I turn it off?

You guys ever have problems with your unit just freezing up? I went out this evening and the screen kept freezing up happened about 12 times in 2 hours.

Had to disconnect it from the battery and start it back up. I think Im gonna call Marcum on monday and see if they can give it a once over. Just kinda blows, I had high hopes for this one after my problems with my Hummingbird 45 last year.

Aaron, did you get it figured out? If not you may need to do an update. Mine would do all kinds of funny things before updating to latest version. Also try manual dynamic. You can also save your settings so next time out you won’t have to mess with them so much.

Once you get the settings you prefer and want to see when you turn it on everytime go to system setting and hit save- that will be the home screen everytime you turn it on. from sensitivity, backlight, views, etc.
