Canadian Customs voted to strike. They can’t legally strike but they can create huge backups with a slow down. This is scheduled to start Friday at 5:00 PM unless they settle. Our group is leaving for Lac Seul Saturday.

They do work slowdowns. One vehicle every 5 min or so. They also won’t collect tax or duties. They are essential workers so they can’t walk off the job.

Oh the sheer power of a United front… 
The strike is delayed until Wednesday. The backup and delays at the border are not caused by strikers not being at work. The strikers cause delays by asking 50 questions of each vehicle instead of the usual 5.
