Thought it’d be fun to start a light hearted thread of used boats and their inflated list prices. Not to debate whether the price is right or not, just ones you think are pretty overpriced. I think it’s in poor taste to comment on someone’s listing whether you think it’s too much, but that doesn’t mean this can’t be fun too! I’ll start with this 2003 CLiner with 2008 engines for $30k.

Way to spoil the party!
April 16, 2021 at 4:07 pm #2030153I have been watching lower end pontoons years and they all seem to have doubled in price.
April 16, 2021 at 7:36 pm #2030189Holy, so supposedly my boat went up in value!!!!!. Inconceivable.
April 17, 2021 at 6:58 am #2030242$40k before taxes.
2009 tritoon with average features, no trailer, and some wear and tear. They had it for sale last summer for $34k with no takers at this dealer. I would think the first number would have to be a “2” in the price instead of a “4” to look twice at it.

April 17, 2021 at 7:39 am #2030251Newer electronics and tm, but 15k for a nearly 30 year old boat. I had basically this same boat bought and eventually sold for 9k almost a decade ago.

April 17, 2021 at 8:06 am #2030257It’s not a fishing boat, but this guy is delusional. I don’t care how well he maintained it, it’s still 28-years old.

I figured someone would post yours here B!
I was hoping it would get posted before you commented.April 17, 2021 at 10:08 pm #2030400I just listed a boat for sale in the classifieds, don’t beat me up too bad
Hahaha with a newer motor I think you are prolly 5-6k low right now! 🤣 I hope you and even the crazier ones gets what they want, it just won’t be from me. A fool and his money are always quickly separated, so I’d rather it go to someone upgrading equipment or trips like I’m sure you will!
April 18, 2021 at 1:07 pm #2030465Beat me to it Francis.
Wow, I wanna see what he would price mine for.

Wow! That is basically my boat and couldn’t even imagine trying to get 30k. Insane!!
April 18, 2021 at 7:28 pm #2030540Maybe it’s just me and my expectations are way off… my buddy bought that same Ranger for 19k 2 years ago.

I like that boat. But to pricey for me. I’m a tiller guy but that would be a boat I’d think about in the right situation
mnfisherman18Posts: 386April 19, 2021 at 12:01 am #2030576Wow, crazy! So are people getting these prices? A nice profit would certainly help my attempt to rationalize a new boat.

April 19, 2021 at 8:30 am #2030595But if guys are getting those prices??? Limited supply due to Covid shutdowns + an injection of free money into the system = inflation.
I saw that WX1910 too…omg. Doesn’t even have a kicker. Page Mods had to jump all over the comments. I sold my 2015 in 2019, didn’t realize I should have kept it as an appreciating investment!
This 620 is sideways too…probably listed for more used than what it cost new.

dirtywaterPosts: 1633April 19, 2021 at 8:55 am #2030604Holy smokes am I glad I bought last summer when I thought prices had gotten a little out of whack. Comparable used boats seem to be priced 30-40% higher than a year ago.
April 19, 2021 at 9:08 am #2030609But if guys are getting those prices???
Yeah more power to the sellers I guess, I just won’t be buying.
Red EyePosts: 957April 19, 2021 at 9:33 am #2030624A product is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
You know what they say, “There’s a new sucker born every second.”
