I guess it all depends on how much gas is available. With Brandon shutting down pipelines and being so anti-oil he’s ensuring the path to EV’s even if we aren’t ready for them. There is no end to what these (#*$^%&# will do to us in the name of green energy, I mean power and greed.

Yes, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to sell my soul to debt. I will eventually buy and build whatever I want when I decide my finances are right.

The good Lord gave us dominion over the earth. I don’t think he wanted us to ravage and destroy His beautiful creation. Instead, work together with it for mutual benefit. Like a garden, you nurture it and it rewards you. Exploit and rape its resources and it will only yield a shot time. There will be many generations after us that this Earth must provide for. On a bright sunny day I look up and feel the power of the sun. Plants and animals have it figured out, but we as humans have decided we want it all, and we want it now. Right now it runs off of fossil fuel. It is engineered to be as clean running at the time of its manufacture. I have sat in my boat pondering…what if that motor were electric? Boy it would need a lot of big heavy batteries. And then I wonder, my fuel tank takes up space and when full at 25 gallons, & pounds per gallon, that comes in at 200 lbs fuel. It will be interesting what light weight lithium battery packs will weigh? Face it, that big gas motor is what gets you to and from your spot. What’s used way more and is way better is your electric trolling motor.
We can’t rewrite the past, and maybe we shouldn’t. But to continually live in the past and not I I ate is bad not just for the environment, but for us. By the way, I also tow my stuff with a Chevy diesel. It’s the best tool for the job right now, but in the hopefully not to far future I would love an electric pickup. And right now all the major players in the auto industry are ready to release them. Chevy is even jumping straight to all electric whereas Ford has their hybrid as a gas/electric pickup between their current pickups and their Lightning. I did look at Fords hybrid, but IF you could find one it was completely decked out creating a verrrrry expensive vehicle. The hybrid cost wasn’t that bad but the back massage/nut scratcher level of trim added $$$$.
