    I have never taken a reel apart before I just sent them out to John Walters (RIP my friend),since his passing I have wanted to clean and replace my drag disks in all my AG 6500 reels.

    Today I did just that.. I totally disassembled one and cleaned it inside and out,lubed,greased and then replaced the stock drag disks with Carbontex disks. My oh my do they ever hold drag !

    Now on with the next 2 !

    Nice. Noway I would even try. I am mechanically declined. Think I just wrote a country song title.

    congrats….now ill sending you all my reel to fix the drag disk……
