Was he supposed to walk home, take the bus or drive himself to the white house?

Looks like i am not the only one ! “Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary “drive -by” just now has to be quarantined for 14 days . They might get sick . They may die. For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater. This is INSANITY ” Dr .James P.Phillips ,MD Walter Reed Medical Center

But I’m sure they all wore masks so they should be safe correct?

Masks are only part of the equation. Social distance, hand hygiene, and avoiding crowds in addition to masks all need to be done to reduce spread.

They were his security. You know, the ones who have to be by his side 24/7. They will be quarantined with him no matter if he stayed in the white house, his hospital bed, or drove to California. That is their job, to protect the president no matter the cost.

Yes, I think we all understand that. Coletrain’s comment was not related to that. He was only trying to be a smart ass about wearing a mask as the unicorn solution to this.

We are doing exactly what we are supposed to. Reducing spread and leveling the curve. You cant do any better than that. People are going to continue to get it and that’s the way it is. You can only mitigate so far.

Some people are. Some people aren’t. President Trump is one of the people who wasn’t.

Lets see..if I was the most powerful man in the world, had access to a doctor 24/7, access to the best medical facilities in the world and was rich as hell, I might wear a mask only when I wanted to also.

You can argue whether he should mask up, you can argue he has a responsibility to lead by example. But he has the same rights we all do. If he wants to not follow protocol it’s his choice not ours.

No one is above following the rules. Not even the President. He has been wearing one since he was diagnosed though, so that’s good. Money, power, and access to the best healthcare does not exempt someone from laws, rules, mandates, and protocols.

Last I heard it wasn’t a law that masks are required. Did that change?

It is not the law. Thats why we can still go in businesses and places with a choice to wear a mask.
The police tried to enforce it early and and now have been paying out lawsuits for unlawful arrests

Cool. So if a person, any person chooses for any reason not to wear a mask they aren’t committing a legal crime? So then it becomes a issue of personal choice. Now I understand.

Not a law, rather an executive order from the Governor. (Minnesota) No Federal order. However, Biden has promised a nation wide order on “Day One”.

Ya they don’t do much good if no one is enforcing it. Places of business can post all the signs they want at the door but if no one stops a maskless individual from entering, they won’t do anything. Its like going 70 in a 40 mph zone if there’s no police around or keeping a walleye from Mille Lacs. You’re free to disobey all you want when there’s no authority or repercussions.

Biden is as close to day one as he is getting.

Trump has his personal choice to make. He doesn’t want to mask up legally he doesn’t have to.

This whole thing about Trump going to the hospital for the virus is a bunch of nothing.

And if Trump did that he’d be called a Fascist.

Legally can it be done? We are considered a Constitutional Federal Republic for a reason.

If someone is keeping to themselves, not talking, not sneezing, not coughing, just walking aisles grabbing the items they need, will they spread anything?

Possibly. If they touch their nose or mouth and then touch another surface, that surface is contaminated for a period of time.

Simply breathing through your mouth or nose expels respiratory droplets. So if a person doesn’t touch anything or holds their breath the whole time they are fine.

According to these same people who are making a big deal no. Social distance and not around any one for more then a few minutes. Harmless. Just slide eating at a restaurant and having a conversation with the waitress when you have no mask but she does.
I’m sure they will argue a never ending argument. But it makes 0 sense in the end. Shun people and others for making there own choices and then pretend they are god themselves for following every dumb ass mandate

Someone please explain to me how in the hell did the national narrative go from “flatten the curve” to “anything at any cost to avoid any new cases”??? If 6 feet works, why a mask? If a mask works, why 6 feet? If both work why locking down? Will masks and distancing and mandated hand sanitizer now be required every flu season too? WTF?
