Coming down next weekend to fish the rivers. I read Bluffs Park launch is under construction, and water levels are low…
Was wondering if anyone knew if the Prescott and/or Hastings launches were usable at this time?
    Thank you.

Hastings public access is always open.

How busy has the Prescott launch been with Bluffs being closed down? Wondering if I need to worry about it filling up weekend mornings?

We arrived at 0630 on Saturday morning, and boats were lining up to launch. We put in at 0650, and it was a steady stream, but everyone was fast having two lanes. I think the 70° weather had a lot more anglers out. On Sunday we went to Red Wing.
    Good luck

Lot has had 10-20% of trailer parking spots stollôavailable each of the 3 times I’ve launched there this fall. All those launches have been Saturday afternoons. 1-2 or (usually) less boat trailers left at landing when we’ve gotten back around 9-10pm. Nice, deep launch with ample dockage, just be prepared to pay 12$ for a launch pass or possibly a big ticket! I’d pay the 12 bucks just to see the colors and feel the vibe down in the croix valley. from a boat this time of year.

Thanks fellas. $12 launch fee is well worth the price of admission.

In the over 1,000 times I’ve launched from Prescott there was 1 time it was too busy to park.
Noon to 2 pm is probably the worst time to arrive on a busy weekend. Busy is long gone as it’s almost November.

Give it a week and I’ll bet the bite is on in Prescott if the croix drops below 50°.

No. You have to be on Pool 4 within eyesight of the dam to catch walleyes or saugers. It’s scientifically proven, and the hundreds of other boats are supporting evidence.
