I’m looking to make a bunch of spinner baits for musky. Curious what weights most guys prefer? I see them up to 3 oz, and I’m trying to not get carried away with making so many. Most will be silicone or bucktail with 5 to 7″ trailers

I used to go a little lighter on inline spinners. If I needed to go heavier I’d take a big rubber core sinker and remove the rubber piece and add the weight to the wire.

I generally find the best spinnerbaits are right around 2.5 ounces with a #10 blade. I would probably say right around 2 ounces for #7 and #8s
