That was a way cool video Mr. Bowman

When making your figure 8, how do you determine the length of line from the tip of your rod to the bait? Are you cranked up tight to the leader?

I am also assuming while making your figure 8’s you are not in free spool, but the reason
at first for free spool, after hooking up, is to let out some line for the battle after driving the hooks home.

    Set me straight please

Colorado has been fun so far. Snow storm on the way in gave us 6″ of snow. Melted by noon….and into the 60’s. Best calling has been isolated thickets in the coulees. Daytime they pop their heads out to take a look. Mostly been 300 to 500 yrd shots. 6 song dogs met a nosler 55gr at 3800fps. Sure wish I had some barnes tsx bullets. These noslers are blowing holes so big I could drive a truck through through them. All the pics are more graphic than I care to post…. on to wyoming

Kooty, we’ve called about 14 that we know of. Hoping this pattern continues!!! We have been on land right next to metro areas and these dogs haven’t been hunted much. Wind is howling today at about 40mph. Time to cook some ribs and do a little visiting. Popped about 40 P/dogs to take care of the daily trigger finger itch

Keep up the good work Randy! I wish there were more guys with your skill sets and ambition for thinning out predators. Might need to hire you as a guide to help me thin out some areas I know are infested.
