Guess what ran across the road in front of me this AM on my way to work. I was talking to Todders, he can confirm my excitement. Time to start knocking on some doors around my place.

GOtta hate that when that happens I care the .17 in the car at all times cause its happend so many time to me myself their it is cross in front of u then stand in the ditch at 50 yards and look at u. And their u sit no weapon I know that feeling pound on doors ive found out around me almost every door u pound on and ask for yotes they say kill em all. . Now deer dont even bother thats like pounding on a door asking for a brick of gold good luck.

I went out Tuesday night in a light snow. It was my last night to hunt in SD so I went for broke. I could only hunt with shotgun so I felt the visibility wasn’t a factor.

Couldn’t sleep last night so I got up for a midnight snack. Before I finished my plate of holiday cookies I had already decided to bust out the snow camo and take a drive. I drove up to a chunk of public just north of my house where I have two good setups. First one was a blank. Second one was a winner. Two yotes bouncing through CRP grass for over a 150yds. I let them get within 75 before I popped the one in back. The second one ran about 15 yds and I let out a yip…. the second one. I was back to the house and had both of them skinned before the wife knew I was gone. I going back out tonight as soon as the kiddos hit the sack! Good luck boys. Get out there!
