October 7, 2008 at 12:22 am #715790I don’t know if any quote should ever be taking from George Michael but, “gotta have faith” It’s already been a good couple days. (Pack lost, White Sox are done ) good things usually come in 3’s right? (Vikes W) or is that bad things in 3’s?

[Announcer #1] What ever you do, don’t kick the ball to Reggie again!
[Announcer #2] He did.
October 7, 2008 at 3:50 am #715827Why does the saying “Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory” ring in my ears?
October 7, 2008 at 10:22 am #715840Here you go Dave.
Sorry didnt have time to edit the pic…But it still work for ya
October 7, 2008 at 12:09 pm #715852Oh man, it was so difficult to watch that after Reggie returned his second punt for a TD….I went to bed
Having been a Viking’s fan for years, it’s difficult to watch the poor play calling, dropped passes, whatever….some great over paid entertainment!!!
I just wonder how well Ziggy is sleeping at light
Too bad we can’t get a Drew Brees for QB…and someone with the ability to coach and some play calling ability
I’m done now….
Go Bears!!!!

But at least he did something other than regular playcalling. Run Run halfback option pass! Atleast it was different.
October 7, 2008 at 1:04 pm #715869Thanks Big G! Mighty tasty crow.
hey, I am a vikes fan through and through… and there isn’t one person here that can honestly stand up and say that the vikings deserved the win that game. The vikings didn’t win… the Saints LOST. That is all.
October 7, 2008 at 3:05 pm #715909sure.. and Im not a huge ferrotte fan.. but Im saying with TJ in there the vikes throw an interception instead of a td…. ferrotte wasnt good enough to stop them focusing on AP.. but he was good enough that when they did he ultimately made them pay… next team will have to think about that… oh oh.. maybe the vikes CAN win it without AP… maybe we are going to have to stop ferrotte.. and thats when they have to start naming their poison… are they going to let AP grind them to dust… or let ferrotte blead them…. either way its not as easy as it was before…. when all they had to do was stack the box

Fully agree with you Dave…bottom line though…a win is a win at the end of the year… Hats off to the Vikes for proving every announcer wrong last night with their pick… Once they showed every one of them pick the Saints I knew there was a chance for the UPSET!! Congrats once again…you are now tied with the Packers…lol
Ted
October 7, 2008 at 3:29 pm #715916I don’t know, ol’ Gus barely threw for 50% last night. They had the box stacked all night and he still only went 19 for 36, for 222. Yes, I agree, Tjack would definitely NOT have been any better. Karma was on our side last night. I’ll take it over skill every week.
October 7, 2008 at 3:44 pm #715921Uh-oh!
Vikings 2-3 and 2-1 with their new QB!!!!!
Packers 2-3 and losers of their last three!!!!
Coincidence?

All I have to say to that is,
jldiiPosts: 2294October 7, 2008 at 10:15 pm #716005Think about this…..If the punter had kicked the ball out of bounds like he was told to do on both of those punt returns, the final score would have been 30-13. Our defense won the game for us. They made the plays they had to make, they were all over Brees all night long, and they forced N.O.into most of the mistakes and penalties they made.
I was not impressed with a lot of the play calls, but we did do enough to get the win, and that is the bottom line.
October 7, 2008 at 10:55 pm #716014You think Kluwless has any left today? Punting 101, punt away from the “Hesters” of the world.
October 7, 2008 at 11:16 pm #716017I heard Chili say that about the punter this am. The question is who does he think is buying that line of bull?
If an NFL coach had asked an NFL spec teams coach to kick out of bounds, away from RBush, and it didn’t happen once, that’s possible. Twice? Three times? If that’s the truth then we should be demanding a new Spec teams coach and punter.
What a bunch of bull. Chili never gave that order. That’s damage control for a clueless coach.
Reminds me of the line from A Few Good Men,,….”If you had given the order that Santiago was not to be touched….why was his life in danger”???

November 3, 2012 at 1:37 pm #208938It has been almost a month since the dogs were lighting up the night air. It has been dead quiet around here since my last post of 10/4. I have been trying to locate information on how big an area in farm country do these dogs travel. I believe our place overlaps a number of packs territories. Before 10/4 I was getting more dog pictures then deer on one of my trail cams.
