RR- It depends on the person I suppose. I care less about killing. So just pet the dogs up for a job well done and walk away. Others and and times they will be harvested. Just like with any other type of yote hunting for the hides.
Please understand that this is not the norm when it comes to running them. Everything has to be just right to catch them in the heavy cover we hunt in.
Years ago we we harvest 70-100 a year. Anymore now it just about the dog work. Just enjoying the sport, the kill is not even secondary. We maybe harvest about 10 a year now. Although I now some will not be happy about us not taking more. The amount we take though is keeping them in balance in the area we hunt. So we have enough to continue hunting, but the are not overly abundant. It is hard for some to understand why we even bother hunting without killing. Enjoying the outdoors, the dog work, and the swamp music is what it is about for me.
Just like with any other activity that involves a dog. It does take a lot of work to be able to provide videos like that. Cats, coyotes, bears it’s all hard work. Just can’t buy a dog and catch game. Even with birds it’s a lot of work.
