I heard a rumor about some smaller rounds made for predator hunting in 30-06. My buddy mentioned they were close to 65g or somewhere along those lines. If this is true this would prevent me from buying a new rifle, a little feedback on the topic would be great! Thanks

They are called accelerators. I have some 55gr Remingtons. I used to shoot them alot for plinking. I still have a few boxes laying around. I’m not sure if they still make them, I never was able to get a decent group at 100yds……don’t think I was the only one either.

I had tried some years ago and had about the same results as Jigger. The bullet would get very erratic especially after about 150 yards. When looking at paper targets it almost look liked the bullet started to tumble.

Unless you load your own an 06 can get spendy hunting yotes.

I tried “accelerators” out of my 30-30 and was disappointed in the results as well.
