I am going to try to take out a coyote or two this winter. I guess I have many questions to you that have this figured out.

    1. When should I try to go out (times and dates) should I hunt into the dark.

    2. I recieved a caller for christmas with 12 different calling options on it. Such as Rodent Distress/Meadowlark/Squealing Bird/Bobcat in heat/High pitched cottontail/Canine Puppies/Yellow Hammer/Coyote pup distress/Canine pups/Kid goat distress/Pleading chicken/Whiteail fawn distress.

And i can play any two of them at the same time and what would you guys start playing first or try?

some type of rabbit distress or rodent distress always seems to work for me. not that i’m an expert. i usually call for 1.5-2 mins and wait 5 mins and call again. i repeat 3 times making the sit last 20 mins. if i didn’t see anything and am going to continue to hunt i won’t set up any closer then a mile a way….. otherwise i feel like i’m wasting my time calling the same animals and educating them.

    good luck
