Of course everyone has his own idea of a perfect yote rifle. I have several yote guns but allways seem to pick up the same one everytime I go out. Its a Savage American Classic with detatchable magazine in .243 and accu-trigger set at 2 lbs. Its topped with a Weaver v16 classic 4×16 with fine crosshair. This rig is D E A D L Y !!! It will shoot 1/4″ moa @ 100 yards. I’ve shot yotes out to 400+ yards and antelope at over 500. Its fairly an inexpensive rig but deadly accurate!

Let me know how you like that Stevens Model 200 that I sent the PM about. It’s probably one of the best values for the $$$ right now.

Don’t overlook the 22-250. It’s a fast little bugger. All the stuff mentioned above is of course great also.

So how big of hole does a .243 put in a coyote?? What does a Stevens rifle run for?? I have seen 2 in the last 2 days within 1/2 mile of the house and my dog is now missing. I’m thinking I need to start hunting them a little.

I shoot a 58 grain ballistic tip on yotes. It leaves an entrance hole but not much more than small fragrement hole on the other side. Their devistating! The inner core of the yote looks like strawberry jello.Needless to say they don’t go anywhere.

I shoot a hotter load of 53gr Barnes tsx in my 22-250. If I hit the bone in the sholder, there will be a hole. Chest and or ribs and its a pin prick.
