Things have been pretty slow around here.(most likely fishing) Hope guys are taking advatage of the disstressed puppy calling right now. Females are very aggressively responding to pup calls for me. Been out a few times at my farm with consistant results

    Keep shoot’n

This is indeed the easiest time of year to kill coyotes. The young are pretty stupid still. And to answer the question posted. Listen closely, especially to the howls. They are not so perfect yet. Just like a jake gobbling. The parents are taking the young out in packs and teaching them to hunt. And they make a lot of noise. I can hear them here most nights and sometimes during the day. Good time of year to use a shotgun on them as they will come close, you cannot see far in a lot of places due to folige and crops, and multiples are much more common. To be honest though, I need to admit that I do not hunt coyotes often this time of year. Other things on the burner. I do kill some while squirrel hunting though. Squirrels react well to any distress call, coming out of their dens and barking like mad. That waving tail makes them easier to spot in the leafed out trees. Sort of makes for a multispecies hunt.
