This is indeed the easiest time of year to kill coyotes. The young are pretty stupid still. And to answer the question posted. Listen closely, especially to the howls. They are not so perfect yet. Just like a jake gobbling. The parents are taking the young out in packs and teaching them to hunt. And they make a lot of noise. I can hear them here most nights and sometimes during the day. Good time of year to use a shotgun on them as they will come close, you cannot see far in a lot of places due to folige and crops, and multiples are much more common.
