No link guys but there’s an interesting article in this month’s Outdoor Life Magazine on the expanding Cougar population and the increased areas and frequency of confirmed sightings. Just a tidbit….the “experts” are claiming that while proper habitat is low and the overall population would also be low, 10 years and cougar presence as far east as the Mississippi will be considered common place.

No indication on what state’s will do with this but I know the cats are extremely reclusive and will strongly go unnoticed. However, I also think a good handgun will be with me as well!

Hillbilly Dave up in NE Iowa said the DNR had stopped and asked him if he’d seen anything diffrent or out of the usual last spring and he said no but could tell what the officer was talking about by the questions he was asking. Another guy I talked to said he has a neighbor in southern Iowa about 25 miles from missouri and they found a deer carcase hanging in one of thier trees on thier land a short ways from his house. I have no doubt that theres more then a few statewide, we just aren’t hearing regular reports yet.
