Has anyone taken in coon, fox, or coyotes lately. Just curious on the prices. Hopefully they are better then they were this fall.

I was told not to expect fur prices to go up if anything they will fall. The econ. has the fur market in the dumps. Some fur buyers are not even buying any more fur because they cant sell the ones they have. I would freeze them and save them for next year. Maybe by then the market might be better.

These are from my last sale

    Coon High $20 / Average $16.

    Rats High $4.50 / Average $3.75

Fox -Reds High $20 / Average 14. (Couple had big holes)

Fox -Grey High $18 – Only had one

    Coyote High $15 – Average $ * Well < $10.00
    * – With the extremely low market, I quit trapping coyotes in early Dec. and went back to calling/shooting them. So not the best put up pelts

    Beaver – High $35. Average $20.

Mink – I was offered an Average of $12. – I kept them all and will sell through NAFA

That sounds really cool!!! I have no idea how to do such a thing but that sounds awesome! My cabin has no problem staying warm, once it has warmed that is, but that first hour or so…..it’d be great to have something like that to wrap up in!
