Sneaky One…

Took my son out Monday night… had one hang up at about 160, all I could see was his head. I touched one off and whiffed. Last night I made another quick set and had one come in after about 15 min. He tried to get downwind but I threw him some lipsqueaks and he came in on a string. He stopped at around 130 yds and I dropped him. I’m lovin’ the R-15, it’s been a real handy calling gun.

    Good luck out there

Good Job You must be in a area with mostly coyotes and alot of them. I have not been seeing as many coyotes as fox so far this year.

Brad, nope unfortunately my son was kind of worn out from his basketball game so he wanted to hang out at home. I can’t wait for him to be along when I connect… hopefully soon.

JC, we do have way more ‘yotes than fox around here. I’ve seen a few trailcam pics of a couple reds but they keep a pretty low profile with the coyotes running around.

What time of day? The only time i have ever had luck was right at dusk. Thought about trying the day time thing but unsure on what hour of the day to do it.

That’s a nice dog…congrats…there was an area coyote/crow hunt today and the biggest coyote weighed in at 35.5 lbs.
