Shot ths coyote near Austin on saturday around nine in the morning. It all started on friday when four of us went out looking to kill a fox or coyote. Just after dawn me and a buddy spotted a coyote in the very middle of a section about four hundred yards out. We got a buddy over there to help us out and there ended up being two yotes. One escaped right away as it went into a farmers grove and the other was stupid and just kept running back and forth across the field. Finally he got about two hundred yards from me and my friend and we took a couple of shots while he was running and missed. So i decide to just walk out on him and that spooks him outta the section and we loose him. Well the first place we go on saturday morning was the same section and to a hell of a surprise they were both out there. This time one got away right away as it just disapered and the other ran in the farmers grove. So we talked to them and they let us push it and it ran out in front of me about one hundred yards and thats how it ended. I also shot a nice red fox today from about fifty yards. Both i was using my remington 700 .223
