Currently hunting west central MN (Pope/Swift Co.). This AM the wind is blowing 30+ MPH, so I decided not to head out. It’s been very cloudy at night, so night hunting was out. I did hunt Saturday AM and PM though with multiple setups, but to no avail. The wind has been blowing so hard I don’t think they can hear the calls. Plus, I think they are bedded into the cattails sloughs trying to stay out of the wind. It’s been a “tuff” hunt with hard weather, but it’s better than sitting at home (to me). On the other hand, I did manage to fish a bit last night after dark. 9 slab crappies, so the fishing was OK.
