I am getting the itch alright, but I would rather find them at the end of a trap chain

Can’t you hunt coyotes all year long?

While up at my friends house after weeding the garden i no more then left it and went up by the house and a big tom came and layed down in the loose dirt and dusted himself. This tom was one of the bigger toms i’ve ever seen and got my blood going.

I was up by the house and didn’t want to get off the tractor so i wouldn’t spook him, so i yelled for Dave to come see. He came to the door and looked and said that he was a big one.

We watched him roll in the dirt 4 or 5 times then got up and went into some nearby weeds looking for grasshoppers. He was there for about 10 minutes then crossed the road and went up the hillside. It does get the blood going and gives a guy something to look forward too this fall.

Yes you can hunt them year round but with all the green and bugs it’s just not worth it. Plus they don’t have to eat as much to stay warm. When it’s butt cold they have to eat more to stay warm.

The hides aren’t of any value during the warm months either. Thick coats are a must.
