I sure hope you can. An article ran in the paper while I was up there about a guy who took a moose with his .270 in the BW! My teacher who is a guide up there brought his .410 and let me shoot a grouse with it on Basswood.

Was that the same story where the dna from the burial spot placed the guy at the seen of the time of burying it? Making him guilty of killing it…

Now now can’t we just save the wolves and hug a tree?

A good arguement for allowing guns in the BWCA

You can’t legally carry a firearm in the BWCA ? Please clarify.

The BWCA is fully wide open with no special restrictions to firearms and hunting. It is open hunting grounds.

Not that I love wolves but as a hunter the wild needs predation of some sort besides hunters! They were here and kept nature in balance before the white man ever stepped aground I did a college paper on wolves I hated them until I started researching. even way back when wolves rarely attacked humans there was alot of folklore and people were scared of them so they started killing them any chance they could. Yes any wounded animal is dangerous! Ask any bear hunter whos wounded one. Wounded animals are dangerous in general. Wolves scare us all. But in closing the past 10+ winters have been very mild making deer population rise meaning more wolves a few hard winters and deer numbers go down. We might have a few problems. How many of us shoot a deer and not even like venison. Probably quite a few and most goes to waiste. Wolfs even chew on the bones. There just needs better management across the board at the dnr. Where do are liscense dollars go?
