Me and friend of mine went river floating last night around 9. No luck until the last 500 yards of the float trip. At midnight I finnaly saw one running the bank right at our calling, then I hear my buddy give two whistles telling me he see’s 2 of something. I’ve got hairs on the one now standing still looking for the call,…..When all of a sudden my friend shoots,….followed immediately by shot. It was a double header on opposite sides of the river. Two less yote’s. It was a great excursion. This scenario will never happen again. Heres the pic of mine…had all its hair.

Awesome hunt Matt It is good to hear they aren’t all rubbed yet I have also thought of going down the river to try hunting coyotes. I have on several occasions seem coyotes and fox while on the river fishing.

Its not a real common approach but anchoring in the middle of the river in sneak boats works really well. We can cover lots of ground or water I guess. It has to be done at night. Lots of coons on the river too.

What are you shooting them with? Is it legal there to shoot a rifle across water?

When shooting from the middle of the river, we always shoot 12 guage 4 shot.
