Full moons can be tough and especially with the warm weather we have had the past few weeks. Stay hid pretty good and watch your silhouette when there is moon light. Yoters breed in Feb.and respond much better to howling than to squeals during this time. They can get very wound up so have fun and take a shotgun for the one that sneaks in too close for the rifle. Also….it is always worth hunting at night. Moon or not.

This is the time of year that a coyote will respond to calling at anytime of the day. Howling does tend to call a few more in, but a prey sound is still going to call a coyote in
Hunting at night offers a bunch more challenges than hunting early morning or late evening. First, your visibilty is limited. Which means they can be coming in to the call and you never know it. It is amazing how many coyotes people call in that are never seen. I have went out at night a few times, but stick to daylight hours and have much better success. But, if you want to give night hunting a try, by all means go and have fun
