I bought these for use with plastics and i really like how the plastic hook keeps half of night-crawlers on which I typically fish. Taking a fishing trip this summer and we will probably be using minnows mostly. How does everyone hook their minnow? Does the bait keeper get in the way or do you push that in the minnows mouth?
    Thanks

Unless you hook through the mouth and run out the back, the minnow’s head will be down on the gap.

In the mouth, out the gill, turn hook 180 deg and hook thru side.

I ALWAYS hook minnows this way. The keeper is usually in the minnows mouth. Works great.
