I know this is not much, but its a little something. My wife is now working from home and I am still working, financially we are fine. We are ordering out two or three times a week to try and help out our local small town restaurants.

    What is everybody else doing?

    Stay POSITIVE PLEASE

We’re doing about the same. Ordering out about once a week though.

I always thought working from home would be great, which it is, but it’s tough seeing all the projects I’d rather be doing. First world problems for sure and if I wasn’t working, we wouldn’t be able to afford to do the projects anyway.

Just the two of us, but we do a “treat” meal or two a week and order out and pick up curb-side. We wouldn’t normally , but we have nothing else to do. We do cook so that left overs can be had a couple times a week too. We take a drive once a week as well. Since we can’t just go in some where to eat or have a beer we don’t usually go far but try to go in a different direct each week. Last week we drove along the river from Lake City then down to Whitewater and came home thru the valley. We were in the Cities and Fairbault on Saturday so probably hang tight this week. I may sneak out to fish one or two mornings.

We really never ordered out much before and haven’t yet, but a Marnettellis pizza is on the short list 😁

We have actually been eating at home a lot more now. And I gotta say I like it much better. And as far as beer drinking we are not really the bar type to go out drinking so that doesn’t bother me at all to stay home and drink toast

I’ve been helping out the local butcher shops and running the pellet smoker a lot more. Rarely have I been grabbing take-out, and I haven’t ordered delivery food yet.

    Knock on wood.

We’re healthy and so are our extended families, everything else is minor. Have made a number of charitable gifts as at least as of today we still have our jobs. Trying to keep our money local as much as possible.

Figured out how to beat up my two little kids at the same time so that’s good. They used to whoop up on me, but all this sheltering togetherness has allowed me to find their weaknesses. doah

X3 Plus ordering in food once or twice a week. And I have bought a couple scoops of minnow to keep the local bait stores kinda open/ not open.

We get pick-up/take out about 3 times a week. Also tipping a little heavier $$$.

The people at my office have been buying lunch 3 times a week for the folks working at the urgent care center across the street from us. It also helps support our local restaurants and even a couple bars that serve food. We figure it’s at least something. Some of those folks are doing 12 hour shifts right now and are under s tremendous amount of stress.

We go to inexpensive places to begin with but we have been tipping closer to 50% so they might still be there when this is over.

100 percent the same here. Think work has gotten busier for us since this all started. And I’ve always been a chef at home so I still keep that up.
Just hoping to keep safe and healthy. I try my hardest to not stop at any gas stations unless needed. And I now make all my coffee at home, I haven’t done that ever in my life.

My wife and kids have been home for 5 weeks now I believe. So the honeymoon period is long over and they have settled into a great daily routine. We’re all happy and not missing a day watching the news. I am still working and we all have really learned to operate as a smooth machine most the time. The girls still get under each other’s skin every other day but that’s normal.

One thing we really notices is how little garbage we have at the end of the week. One bag and some debris. The recycling can is more full than the garbage….

Another observation is our community. We have a large walking path that enters by our home and we are outside a lot. Most people at the start of this we’re really up beat and motivated. During the second week that mood changed a lot and sure it was because multiple reasons. However now you can see everyone has slowed down, much happier and really taking time to observe everything around them. I think alot of people and ourselves at home have learned to enjoy the smaller things much more. We got a ham at the store last week and felt like we hit the lottery. It was a good one!! Haha

Drive into work has been a lot less congested (compared to normal which was still nothing compared to what you urbanites have to put up with), gas mileage has increased noticably.

We have closed our showroom so I can go about my normal and frequent use of ‘french’ language without fear of a customer hearing it. Also have no sales reps coming in and wasting our time pitching products I care zero percent about. New dress code got put on hold until we re open the building to non employees so I get to keep going about my daily wearing if hoodies.

Now ordering pizza for lunch is looked at like supporting other businesses and not feeding my unhealthy eating habits.

Anytime you can help a restaurant, please do. They are taking it on the chin during this time. And yes………if you see a waitress or cook by all means slip them a couple extra bucks if you can afford to.

Watching Head 2 Head walleye fishing live. Another contest starts tomorrow I think around 8. Interesting tournament fishing.
