I have been searching for a good portable power supply to multi task out on the hard water. I think I may have found it.
jump starts a vehicle, charges phones, lap tops, cameras, these 2 lights have been running for over 16 hours. I’m going to try and rig it so it runs the fan in a big buddy. Now I just need ice.

OK – I bit the bullet and cut my cell phone USB cord in half, then cut the big buddy charging cord in half and spliced them together using the black and red only from the USB cord. Nothing!
    Reversed the wires – BINGO!
Now the power pack runs the Big Buddy blower. I’m going to fully charge the pack and see how long it will run the heater.

That will be interesting to see how long it lasts

I bought a 6 volt rechargeable battery 4 years ago that powers my fan on my big buddy. Simply extended the wires from the battery housing and ran them into one of the 1# cylinder storage compatments where I keep the battery. The fan runs all day if I need it to on that battery.

It ran a light and the fan for over 12 hours and under 21 hours.
(it was dead when I came home from work)
I’ll try to monitor it more closely this weekend as I won’t be hard water fishing. bawling

    Try a power pack

    X2

Made mine for less than $80 with a dual USB port, cigarette charger port, a light on the front of the box, digital voltage meter, and posts that my shack lights clip onto and run. One centralized hub for all your power needs. Can’t beat it.

any links to directions on how to make these?

Looks like an ammo box with ports, meter and switches installed. Maybe a bunch of non-projectile lead inside?

This year I upgraded to a 12v 18ah battery used in scooters and wheel chairs. About the same weight as 2 vex batteries. Lasts all day and if I’m far from home it has juice enough to run lights and a 12v fillet knife.
