Does anyone have any safety tips for using portable propane heaters in portables? I am aware of the carbon monoxide hazards and was wondering if simply opening the vents in the top is enough or if there are any other precautions that people take? I sometimes spend long hours in the portable and haven’t had an issue thus far, but I just want to be as safe as possible.

Alex, I throw the lid up every once in awhile. Turns the air over in the shack and fresh air invigorates the soul !!!

Use vents and leave door open a foot on top works well for me.

I generally never put snow on the skirt and leave vents open. That is if I’m running mr heater cooker sunflower. If I run big buddy I might bank the shack not usually but I open and close vents and door often enough when the kids are out that is when I use that heater.
