What are the good ones and which to stay away from?

Need one for those shorelunches and softball tourneys coming up. A unit that could be latched close, compact, easy clean up and durable. Doesn’t need to be big, would assume propane is the fuel of choice. Thanks

The Weber Q series are awesome portables but they a little on the heavy side. I have the Q2200 and it is 41#s, but it is a great and well built. They make 5 different sizes. I would definitely give them a good look.

I agree with willyd. We have the smallest for tailgating and traveling and the largest for home. The smallest can run on 1lbers. We have only had it since early may and have only cooked 10 brats, 22 hotdogs, 10 chicken kabobs and 5 beef kabobs. Using it a total of three times, we are still on our first tank.

We have had out bigger grill for about 2 years. The actual grates started to peal. My wife called Weber on a Sunday afternoon and we had new grates at our door Tuesday. Great customer service! Different parts of the grills have different length warranties. I believe the shortest is 2 years.

I was curious to the efficiency of those things. Wouldn’t mind dropping more dough upfront to not deal with changing out those bottles as much.

I have had a Coleman grill for about 10 years now that I really like. Mainly bring it on camping and ice fishing trips. Very compact as well as a convenient shape for traveling(no awkward lid you can’t stack stuff on top of or tuck away)

It’ll do a bunch of dogs, and probably 8-10 burgers at a time.

They do sell one as well with a burner on one 1/3 of a side and grill on the other if deep frying fish is preferred.

I love my old Weber Go Anywhere and it’s over 20 years old and still cooking.

With that said, if I had to buy today, I’d be dang tempted to go with one of the folding Coleman Road Trip grills. My dad has one and they are just terrific. No bending over to tend the grill, big capacity, and easy to use with good flame control.

The Coleman probably won’t be the bulletproof choice that the Weber is, but they are cool.
