1st barge of 2011

    At 2:00 the first barge passed our view. The picture is just below Tepiota Point on Pool 4. The word is he is only authorized to travel during the day so he may not bust through Lake Pepin till Friday. In most years, this signal rapidly warming water. I don’t think it will help this year.

    My parent live on L.Pepin and my mom just called and said the 1st barge just went upstream on its way to RW.
