Lake Pepin open water

Anyone willing to muster a guess when Pepin will be ice free?

as soon as the ice breaker barge comes through i think iseen on a report that somebody seen a barge in lacrosse heading north so that could be real soon i dont know though this high water may blow it out too.

P.S. if you want to go check it out with that new shiny boat i will come with

Boat is still in storage, as I have not yet made up mind if I am done with hard water, but definitely looking at doing some shore fishing

storage huh? your behind schedule get that ice gear in a box you just came from gods country there is nothing down here that is worth your time, get that boat outa storage man! as for shore fishing we may have to hit up a spot or two together if you have time i have a couple spots in mind or maybe my boat will be done by the weekend and we can get out on the water…..

I was in Lake City today, and it looked like there was a pretty good size stripe down the middle that was open.

South end is still locked up and some big ice flows, but has been opening up with the high water and a little wind

Barge headed that way right now, I’d guess it will be wide open by Sunday.
