blade bait first then hair jig w/minnow second for walleye but i will say just about every presentation works on the river and one is always going to out fish the other from day to day. you need to be very diverse when heading to the river
Early spring…like now. Stink bait, as the water nears 55 7-8inch live suckers and then live bullheads until August. Then it’s a mix of cutbait, stink and live bullheads.
For plastics try white. White paddle tails worked real well for us last year. For crank baits try bright colored ones. That is when the water is high and dirty.
