    Hello all:

Was wondering some good lures and colors to use early in the spring time on the Mississippi River for bass and walleyes?

blade bait first then hair jig w/minnow second for walleye but i will say just about every presentation works on the river and one is always going to out fish the other from day to day. you need to be very diverse when heading to the river

Blades and ring worms for eyes. Don’t really fish bass unless I need some fresh cut bait

Early spring…like now. Stink bait, as the water nears 55 7-8inch live suckers and then live bullheads until August. Then it’s a mix of cutbait, stink and live bullheads.

Hey, what forum is this anyway?

For plastics try white. White paddle tails worked real well for us last year. For crank baits try bright colored ones. That is when the water is high and dirty.
