Pool 12 Mid-April

    I have a walleye trip planned to pool 12 with a couple of buddies in the middle of April.With the rising water levels, should I consider other options or do you more expeienced river men think the water levels should not be an issue by then? I have limited time to fish this year and do not want to squander it.

    This is tough to answer because you never really know what the river is going to do. Now you can find fish in Pool 12 in high water just like other pools, But if it hits what they are forecasting, the river will probably be closed.

    I also heard the River is suppose to crest sometime the middle of next week so maybe you will be ok. You can always send me a PM closer to your trip and I can update you on the river condition here on 12.

    I have already decided that most of my Spring will be spent on lakes. My heart is with the river but I can’t see that happening right now.

    Thanks Dugout. I will keep an eye on the river levels and send a pm when the trip gets closer.
