I don’t recall it ever freezing up totally (20years), but they don’t keep the ramps open like they do at Everts.

I got a little 12′ shallow bottomed alumacraft,I dont know how it’d fare in the winter since its so small. I had considered shore fishing for a night bite though.

There’s not much current there…but if you’re not comfortable in it don’t use it.

The water is unforgiving this time of year.

There is some shore fishing there, but I haven’t looked close enough to see how accessible to the water it is with the snow.

Its open now, below the bridge there is lots of ice flows, talked about going out this weekend if I can get the Bro inlaw to plow out the landing, otherwise will be on the ice trying to catch saugers but will probually be battling the dreaded sturg.

Ice fishing is your best option there now.

I was able to launch but no fish to show. Missed a few but not alot on the finder. Felt good to be off the ice but a little weird seeing people driving trucks 150 yds from where im fishing in a boat but to each his own. The Mississippi seems to be open quite a ways down but didnt feel like goin too far.
