Do you use fleched or unfleched arrows for bowfishing? If you could explain that would be great.

    here’s what i would suggest…..
    Muzzy arrows

don’t bother with the cheap-o green arrows for bowfishing…..hit one rock and they bust. the safety slide on the arrow is also a must……that will prevent the arrow from coming flinging back at you for any reason (not good!!!). i think you can buy them already attached to the arrow or seperate and attach yourself.

always carry either an extra tip or a file to sharpen dull tips……carp can be tough to punture with dull points

Jake is right-go with quality arrows made for bowfishing. Deer hunting arrows WILL NOT work. Only part where we differ is the arrow tip. I use a different tip, but cannot remember who makes them. The tips I use allow you to get the fish off the arrow with a full turn of the arrow. That will allow the tip to open up backwards and the fish slides off without even touching them. They sell different arrows at most all sporting good stores. Take a look and pick one you like. They usually will not be in stores till the spring stuff gets out. Around here Gander Mtn. carries them.
