Fished a community hole Sunday, the bite was on all day! Best baits were glow head pink body Ratso, Orange and Yellow Diamond jig with Custom Jigs plastic, and a Glow Blue Demon spoon. I drilled 10 holes to start and only fished 5 of them. The best fish were suspended and looking up, the key was to stop the bait and let them charge in. When the sun came out they sunk deeper and near the bottom. Best bite was during the Packer game, everyone left and the bigger gills went on a feeding spree. Fished between 13-17 feet of water and caught fish from the bottom to less than 5 feet below the ice. Caught crappies and gills but no decent sized crappies, gills averaged 7 1/2 some bigger, released 2 that were close to 9″ and lots of shorties of course. I might have enough for a fish fry (4 Kids). The Vexilar made all of the difference today because of the fish suspending.
