favorite bowfishing spots

    i was just wondering where everyone goes bowfishing around here?and do you fish on land our in a boat?

    not sure why , but MN has a season for bowfishing that opens May 1st…….not sure if wisconsin has a season or not.

    You can bowfish year round on the river. But inland waters start later in the spring. This protects the spawning gamefish, according to the DNR.

    I personally prefer a low draw weight compound. They have a place on the riser where you can screw a cheap spool or a more expensive reel device designed for bowfishing. Just do not use an expensive bow, it gets beat up pretty good while hammering the carp. This is one of the cheapest forms of entertainment out there.
