    Yes you can now launch out of colvill, did me little good, small saugers and small mouth, nothing over 12″. Oh well, thats fishing, mille lac wasn’t mush better, one 21″ and a few eaters.

    How were the SNAKES down that way? Been hearing they’re thick.

    Did not see a single snake. As a side, when I was a kid in Dodge county we had a lot of your common snakes around. Very little traffic on our gravel road but if you walked a mile of it you’d see three or more snakes road killed. Now you not only don’t see road killed snakes, you would be lucky to see a single snake in a year and I live on a farm. I place the blame on farm pesticides and herbicides. I myself went organic ten years ago, at the time I obviously wasn’t thinking about snakes but certainly the enviroment. I know down around the river you see a lot more snakes than I do on the farm but again when I was young you’d see easy ten times the snakes you see now in the backwaters. I remember seeing twenty or more snakes on a single log in the backwaters back then. Think about it.
