Anyone see if anything is open yet? Water levels look to be dropping pretty fast. Almost to fast. I bet those walleyes are getting hungry for some plastics.

I am curious as well, but have not had a chance to get down there.

I’ll see if I can swing past the 494 access at lunch time today.

I highly doubt the 494 access will be open by thois weekend. I just stopped down there and the water is still pretty high, still just below the railing by the fishing platform.

    Take care!

My walleye itch is on fire too. I’d be interested in the status of Lion’s if anybody has been down that way.

The road was still closed last night.

We launched out of the flooded 494 ramp during high water and it was fine. It was a bit shallow but the fishing dock area created a nice buffer from the current. Take it slow and there shouldn’t be a problem.

When we went, only about an inch of the railings were visible. Actually, they looked like parking barriers and the launch doc was completely jacked with a good sized stack of logs and debris braced up against it.

People did look at us rather funny…

Did they have the road closed signs up at 494. If they are not up I would be putting in there to.

Im going to call and see if the marina just south of lions levee is still open.

Stopped by the 494 access after work today. The water is down at least two feet from last weekend, but the barricades are still inplace, the turn-around area is underwater, etc. I was surprised to see a lot of minnows swimming around at the bottom of the steps, that was cool. The only way around the barricade would be to move them, and something tells me the cops would frown on that

What we need is for somebody to pay attention to what the level is at when it is lauchable again. My guess is that it is below 10′ maybe even more like 8′

Right now we are at 11′ or 13′ depending on which gauge you go by. Lilydale road is open to the yaght club (sorta) and it looks like a muddy mess again. I haven’t sneaked a peek at the road beyond that; but my guess is that it is ugly.

Willy’s Hidden Harbor is the word of the day. Located just south of Lions Levee in St paul Park. $10.

Be careful if you get out.

The 494 access is NOT open as of 30 minutes ago. The barricades are still across the road. The city did have some sort of machinery down near the ramp because the mud has all been pushed off to the sides. The dock is really screwed up, it’s angled down river about 45 degrees from normal and still has a lot of logs and crap on top of it.

    Willies, you say?
