I was in Red Wing yesterday and took a tour along the ramps at Baypoint. You have to access them from Old Main. The road is closed just beyond the grain elevators if you come in from downtown. The river has lots of current right out of Baypoint.

Colville doesn’t look friendly right now.

The lake between Red Wing and Lake City has some large debris on it….whole trees. I saw one boat just off the Hoksila launch site in the morning about 8:30 on the way to work, none in the afternoon on our way home at 6.

I did stop to throw a jig or two for twenty minutes along the road by Baypoint. Literally, I stood on the road to cast. Some sunfish and crappies got poked, but nothing of size.

Thanks guys, I was thinking of going down with the wife and need a pretty calm launch with her, maybe we’ll just wait a week or so and see what happens.

I just talked with a friend who is in Lake City and he said either Hok-si-la or Roschen are good to launch.

Thanks, wife says she doesn’t like the high water, and wants to wait a bit, she’s probably right as I have enough trouble finding fish when the water normal..:)
