White Bass?

My wife and I will be going to Lake Pepin for our fall fishing trip next week. From the few posts that I have read the walleye fishing has been tough. What I really want to know is are the white bass schooling up like they have in the past? I know most of you put them in a class with rough fish, but we really like to catch them and the family really likes to eat them. An eye or two would be nice but we will target white bass. I know the spots, just want to know if they are or have been active. Thanks

I can’t speak for Pepin Airpart, but from Everts North I’ve seen them in the evenings doing their normal feeding frenzy in the slack water.

Thanks. At least I know that they are still doing their thing.

Thanks for the info. If it comes from a church member it has to be true. I am looking forward to being there next week.

Thanks Dean. We probably had the worst fishing trip in the past 25 years . NO ONE was catching anything and with the winds we got off the lake and went to the “Y”. How’s is that for a poor fishing trip? We did catch some on our half day of fishing on Tuesday, and it went downhill from there. I guess I will have to try the river one of these days and swallow my pride . I guess it is like the Chicago Cubs, I will wait ’til next year.
