Thinking about taking a run out to the Mississippi for a few days early this week. What is it looking like out there? Planning to chase some LM and SM.

Targeting Crappies first light tomorrow, then looking for some gill action, plan on casting after that….I’ll let you know what is happening on pool 8 after that

Pool 8 is cleaning up nicely. Mike and I stayed North. The main channel weed mats have thinned out nicely however, there is still a little grass to deal with. Nothing like the past 2 weekends though

I’ll throw a report up this weekend. The bigger gills were tight to the bottom. Caught a couple gar on minnows. It makes for some fun on a crappie rig.

I see you are more interested in the Bass, my advise would be to fish deep rock with some current pushing on it. That is were the majority of bait fish are at this time. Maybe a bass guy will chime in

Trolling might still be a little tough with the debris but as long as the mighty keeps taming down I believe pulling cranks or 3 ways is in the very near future.

Was on pool 7 on Sunday, it was a total disaster so much weeds and grass coming down couldn’t troll, or cast even tried vertical and nothing but weeds even the back sloughs were full of the gunk. Upper end was a little better then the lower.

As of yesterday, nothing had changed.
