I’ve never heard of those areas and fish pool 3 quite a bit. I’d bet I / we use different names for them. Shoot me some GPS coordinates and I’ll check for you but my guess is there will NOT be contour info for backwater areas beyond the deep water at the cuts leading to and from the backwaters.
all those lakes are on the map and are in pool 2.. I know spring is one giant stump field, not sure about the others.
Brain fart. Mine. I heard “Hastings” and my mind locked on pool 3. I’ll take a look at the maps right now and should have something for you in a few minutes.
good stuff! thanks a lot.. not exactly what I was looking for but at least I know what to expect now.
James, maybe some pictures and drivings direction too while while your posting the map for that water. GPS cords?
The reason they are not mapped is you can barley float a canoe in most areas of those 3 lakes.

now that is not true. i can run a 1652 jonboat through 95% of spring, baldwin, and sheelys.
but, i’m glad they didn’t map everything out. it keeps people second guessing whether they should investigate those areas with their boat. and usually keeps them out…

There is no way you can navigate 95% of Spring….

how much you wanna bet i can’t run my duckboat through there?
cause i’ll take that bet. i can run through there without even getting out of my boat. even if i run a little bottom…
I do my fair share of running around spring in a 1448 jon with a 25hp. No way 95% is navigable. 40-50% if you know what you are doing. Sure, there are cuts you can run, but you can’t just run where ever you want. 95% would indicate that! For the most part its shallow water.
Like I said, there is a damn good reason the survey boats didn’t go in there!

If you can’t run more then 40 percent then you don’t know what you’re doing in there.
How do you think people get around in there for hunting? With a canoe? LOL
The following is a public service announcement~
Perch has a mud motor which he’s failed to mention.
End of announcement.
I tried to get through one year. 2.5 hours later with a plugged up tell tail, using a trolling motor and an oar, I finally got back out.
My recommendation? If you go, tell someone your going and take an old boat.
Have at it!

That’s just not fair!
That is, having a Go-Devil is fair, but having a Go-Devil on your boat and not mentioning it in this thread isn’t fair.
