My father and I were out fishing on pool 9 saturday morning and noticed a bunch of may fly shells/cocoons floating in the water. By sunday morning there were tons of dead may flies floating on the surface. Needless to say the bite for walleyes was better on saturday. We caught some walleyes using crawlers on main channel rock and in the back channels. There were also some active schools of white bass to be found that were hungry for paddle tails and rattle traps. I’m not sure why, but some of the sheepshead had some followers to the boat when we reeled them in. We also had a few walleyes follow cranks to the boat, but not bite.
