I’m curious to know what anybody knows about this. I have had about 5 parties stop here today for bait and they said there was a sign on the door at 4 seasons that said closing Feb 2nd. Their phone # has also been disconnected….?????? Anybody know anything. I guess for those of you that don’t know, I do have bait and tackle here. I’m not kickin 4 seasons while they’re down, just letting you fisherman know where you can get bait. Any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks

I know that the owner has been trying to sell his business/building for some time and it’s sad. Owning a bait and tackle shop is tough. And the business can’t be all that easy. But they will be missed. Good place for bait and such. And so convenient for a quick stop.

I had the opportunity to talk with Ralph Dierks at the show this weekend and the shop is back under his ownership and will be back open again in a couple weeks. No definitive date…. just an approximate.

When and if I hear something more concrete regarding the opening of 4 Seasons, I’ll give everyone a holler here. I’d hate to see guys going out of their way to make a stop only to find the place clsed up tight. Until then, Everts has what we need to get us on the water and after the fish…. and for now at least, they’re the only game in town.

Any idea what Ralph is going to ask for the shop?

    Jim,

You could retire and run a bait shop!!

    Yeah, ha,

    H2O’s Baits & Booze

That does have a ring to it, doesn’t it?

But, he’d probably one of those absentee owners cause he’d always be on the water somewhere.

Oh man, I’d make a HORRIBLE bait shop owner. Now I would have the best fishing reports…. pretty darn up to the minute …. but you’d have to pull along side me ON the river to get one. Store hours? Open 24 hours. No, not in the same day!

It sounded to me like Ralph had intentions of running the shop himself… he didn’t mention any partners this time around.

From what I have heard, Ralph makes kis money by buying the business back from the previous buyer and runs it for a couple years and sells it again to make a few bucks!!!

Just kidding. Hate to see that place go away.

Ya I stopped into 4 seasons on Sunday, and they were open(kinda). the Front door had a sign that said use other door. I went in and an older gentleman was there and sold me minnows. He identified himself as the owner of the building. He said that the person who ran the bait shop went bankrupt and they are currently in court. The place will be, for the most part, shut down so that the person who used to run the place can get an inventory and begin to pay off his debts to the owner. The owner did say that it will re-open(no specific date was given). And as of sunday, they were trying to sell off their inventory that could die, like minnows.
